How can I find out how much my pension is worth?
We will find out this information for you as part of your initial consultation with us.
Am I too old to recover my pension?
We can help recover your pension provided you are between 25 and 69.
Is there any minimum or maximum amount of pension that can be recovered?
The minimum is £15,000. There is no upper maximum.
Can I cash in a part of my fund?
You can cash in anything from 5% to 70% of your fund.
What are the fees?
This is dependent on your pensions provider and UK trustee´s charges.
What if I´ve already taken my pension?
If you have taken an annuity then we cannot help you, but if have taken your 25% tax free lump sum or are in a draw-down scheme we can still retrieve this fund for you.
How does tax relief work?
Take a look at the following table:
I've recently been made redundant with only a relatively small payout. Together with my meagre savings I will still qualify for benefits. However I will not be able to service my overdraft, credit-card, loan, etc. However I took out a personal pension straight after leaving university 20 years ago, and it is now worth close to £100K. Is there any method to free-up even a small portion of this in order to clear my outstanding debts?
We can advise you on how to free up some of your pension (upto 70%) and to put any remainder into a different type of investment that will help you to provide for your retirement.
I have an old final salary pension plan, which has been put on hold or frozen for about six years since I left the company. Is it worth me cashing it in with you or should I try and join it with my current pension plan?
It is usually possible to transfer former pension rights into your current employer's scheme or into a personal or stakeholder pension plan arrangement. However, these pensions have performed very badly recently and you might be interested to know that there are alternatives that could prove far more beneficial in both the short and long term. Our consultants will be able to advise you on some of the routes that are open to you.
